The Life Of An Independent Artist
I can't even begin to tell you how heart broken I am right now. Ernie Barnes was a genius of artistry. He was on my wish list of greats to meet. It's a very sad day for the collective- the world will be a much different landscape without his vision and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThe Sugar Shack is my most prized piece - it embodies so much of my life and times as a little brown girl growing up in Farragut projects in Brooklyn.
All I can say is well done Ernie...Rest in Peace!
