That Was Well... I Am Speechless. This Made Me Realise How Go The Album Is
ReplyDeleteWOOOOWWW!! SOME PEOPLE REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW DOPE THIS BROTHA REALLY IS!!!
ReplyDeletedamn, makes me wanna go pull this one off the shelf one mo gin. I wonder what the significance of Cuba was to Him?
ReplyDeleteCquer, Cuba is one of the great places of the expression of Black music. All the great Cuban artists (including my favorite Celia Cruz) have said that Cuban rhythms are African rhythms. So Cuba is a transitonal place for African Music. If one is growing, changing, becoming higher in the spiritual art of music, Cuba, with its African music and spirituality (Yoruba Orisa worship in the dieties the woman pointed out to him: Obatala & Ochun, is the kind of place someone like brother D is drawn too. He says some great ones came there before him as well. It all comes out in his work. Unspeakable talented.
